Since the beginning of school we have raised monarch butterflies in the classroom. We went out to our milkweed garden, found eggs, brought them in and watched the whole process. It was the first time I raised Monarchs. We usually do Painted Ladies in the spring. Throughout September, we released a bunch of butterflies. We finally did an official release a week ago. We tagged them so we could track their journey. We are hoping that they make it to Mexico and the scientists report back to us that they made it.
