Snowmageddon

Ok, I know we are from NY and PA and have dealt with this kind of snow plenty of times, but really? Why are people panicking over 2-3 feet of snow down here??? It is a decent amount, but it doesn't mean the world is coming to an end. The people outside are sure acting like it is!

I'm on bedrest so thankfully I didn't have to brave the mob but Jeff had to enter the Snowpocalypse to go to the Supermarket. Luckily, we had already gotten our necessities earlier in the week but Jeff went out to get a few extra items. He had to park on the side street because the lot was completely full. Literally, all of the milk, bread, and eggs were gone. He said there was one maybe two of each item we needed left. After being continually bumped by some frantic lady who thought that pushing him from behind with her cart would make checkout go faster, he called me laughing at how crazy it was out there. Oh and that was last night before the snow even hit!!!!

This morning he realized he needed more of his diabetic meds before the storm. He headed back into the Snowocaust to go to CVS. My soldier returned from battle with tales of actual fights over the last gallon of milk, a woman demanding her meds eventhough they were out, pushing and shoving, and angry drivers using their cars like tanks and bulldozers in the lot to get through. At this point, it had just started flurrying.

It's amazing what side of people you see when the end of the world is on the horizon. If you need us, we will be cozy and warm in our "shelter in place."
